Bartlett Brainard Products Company opened for business in Hartford over 75 years ago, as the manufacturer of the first double-track windows. The company flourished and earned the reputation as one of the area's best home improvement specialists.

The Yandow family was part of Bartlett Brainard from the start. In fact, Emile Yandow was one of their first carpenters. Later, his son, Edward, started working at Bartlett Brainard. Edward worked his way up in the business and ultimately purchased it in 1981. He was known throughout the local area as a hard working "old fashioned" business man - making agreements on a handshake and always standing behind his work.

Edward's daughter, Cathy Davis, began working for her father shortly after he bought the business. Twenty years later, Cathy followed her father's path by becoming the owner of Bartlett Brainard Products. She has continued her family's philosophy of providing the best possible workmanship and guaranteeing all of Bartlett Brainard's work - ranging from siding to windows, roofing and porch enclosures to awnings, gutters, and more! Her employees pride themselves on their skilled and detailed work, some of whom have worked at Bartlett Brainard for almost as long as Cathy. They all stay true to the company mission of exceeding the customer's expectations, while providing a stress-free remodeling experience.

Dear Ed & Cathy,
