Bartlett Brainard Products Company, a West Hartford contractor, is the 2010 recipient of the Connecticut Better Business Bureau’s 2010 Torch award for Marketplace Excellence. Each year the Bureau selects a company who has demonstrated its commitment to high ethical standards of behavior in all its business practices. Cathy Davis, President of Bartlett Brainard Products Company, accepted the award at the Better Business Bureau’s Annual Meeting held
November 11th at the Aqua Turf in Southington.
When receiving the award, Davis told the audience “The success of Bartlett Brainard is due to the dedication and hard work of my employees.” Davis went on to say, “I also want to thank my father, who built Bartlett Brainard through his integrity and diligence and who taught me to try to exceed the customer’s expectations and to always stand behind our work.”
Bartlett Brainard Products has provided exterior home remodeling services in the Greater Hartford area for over 73 years and is located in the Home Design District at 75 Talcott Road in West Hartford. The company first opened business as the manufacturer of the first double-track windows. Emile Yandow, Ms. Davis’s grandfather, was one of their first carpenters. Later, Mr. Yandow’s son, Edward, started working at Bartlett Brainard and ultimately purchased it in 1981. Continuing in her father’s footsteps, Cathy Davis worked for the company for 20 years before taking it over when her father retired in 2000.
The company was also the recipient of the CT Better Business Bureau’s Website Marketing Message Award.
